Parking
DO NOT park at St Michael’s Church. No entrant parking there.
Use instead:
- Caldene Avenue car park
- Hebden Bridge town centre car parks
- Any legal, considerate street parking
Please keep noise down early morning.
Registration & timings
- Arrive early — park, walk to HQ, register
- If withdrawing, inform HQ immediately
- Mass start: 08:00
- On return, report in at HQ
Kit & safety
No formal kit check, but carry appropriate winter fell kit (FRA Mandatory Minimum as a guide):
- Waterproof body cover (taped seams, hood)
- Hat and gloves
- Physical map & non-electronic compass
- Whistle
- Emergency food
Checkpoints & food
Staffed checkpoints for safety. Follow instructions and move through promptly.

Provided before and after the event
Withdrawals
- Tell a marshal as soon as possible
- Return to HQ by safest route
- Report to HQ — mark yourself safely returned
Emergencies
- Keep casualties warm and safe
- Call 999 first if urgent, then inform event team
- Alert nearest checkpoint or marshal

Carry litter out. Be courteous to other path users. Follow signage. This is volunteer-run — please respect the fells and local community.
