Parking

DO NOT park at St Michael’s Church. There is no entrant parking there.

Use instead:

  • Caldene Avenue car park
  • Hebden Bridge town centre car parks
  • Any legal, considerate street parking

Please keep noise down early morning and respect local residents.

Registration & timings
  • Arrive early enough to park, walk to HQ and register
  • If not starting or withdrawing, inform HQ immediately
  • Mass start: 08:00
  • On return, report in at HQ so we know you’re safely back
Kit & safety

No formal kit check, but entrants are expected to carry appropriate winter fell kit. We recommend FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit as a guide:

  • Waterproof body cover (taped seams, integrated hood)
  • Hat and gloves
  • Map (physical) and compass (non-electronic)
  • Whistle
  • Emergency food
Checkpoints & food

Staffed checkpoints are for safety and support. Follow instructions and move through promptly.

Provided before and after the event

Withdrawals
  1. Tell a marshal or checkpoint team as soon as possible
  2. Return to HQ by the safest available route
  3. Report to HQ so we can mark you safely returned
Emergencies
  • If someone is in difficulty: keep them warm and safe
  • Alert the nearest checkpoint, marshal or event team
  • If urgent, call emergency services first, then inform the event team
Respect the fells

Carry litter to the next checkpoint or back to HQ. Be courteous to other path users. Follow signage and marshal instructions. This is a volunteer-run event — please treat the fells and local community with respect.
